After years of limping along with an outdated four-page website, Elm decided to jump headlong into the future. With a spec sheet calling for an online content management, news archives, email newsletter capabilities and a fresh design, there was work to be done.
The first step was to move them into a content management system that would meet their technical criteria. Once in place, it was a matter of customizing the components to meet their needs. Different templates were drawn up for the front, interior and newsletter pages. In designing the site, there was an emphasis on looking technical and professional without being bland. Working photographs of the Elm staff into the design helped to soften their image and give them a human face.
